8” x 10” Giclee Print on 11” x 14” Archival Matte Paper.
Arnold Palmer and Fred Rogers grew up in the Western Pennsylvania town of Latrobe. The King and Mister Rogers were neighbors. Fred’s childhood home was located near Latrobe Country Club, where he learned to play golf from Arnie’s father, Deacon. They attended Latrobe High School together and, although separated by one year, remained friendly their entire lives. From small beginnings, both Arnie and Fred went on to achieve great things largely in part due to their compassion, respect, and sincerity. In a Golf Digest article on the same topic, Jerry Tarde wrote that, “Two men from the same place, different as could be, found a common answer to today’s problems in the way they consistently treated people with kindness.”
